Mentoring SessionsNeed a mentor? Looking for an opportunity to meet and talk to your favorite veterinarian at the conference? Then, look no further and make sure to sign up for your favorite speaker's Mentoring Session after his/her talk. The Mentoring Sessions will take place after each speaker's presentation where you will have the opportunity to engage in a short, seven-minute meeting with your favorite veterinarian in a private room. These sessions provide a great forum for veterinarians to inspire and educate pre-vet students by lending their insights, expertise and guidance.
NOTE: Not all speakers will be able to participate in these Mentoring Sessions (but most will!!!!) |
Speaker Meet UpsDidn't have enough time to meet with or attend a speaker's presentation? Want to network with veterinarians from various specialties? Well, make sure to attend the various Vet Med Speaker Meet Ups at the end of BOTH conference days. These meet ups are networking events where attendees and veterinary speakers can make connections. There will be four different Meet Ups at the end of each conference day for you to attend including Small Animal Meet Up, Large Animal Meet Up, Zoological/Wildlife/Aquatic/Exotic Meet Up and Veterinary Research Meet Up.

Admissions Meet ups
This year, instead of panels, we will be featuring representatives from various veterinary schools to answer your questions in a more interactive and personal approach through our Admissions Meet Ups. In the Admissions Meet Up, each representative will be assigned to a small table seating several students where you will be able to ask them your own questions concerning the topic of the Meet Up and rotate to each representative after some time. There will be six Admission Meet Up sessions throughout the weekend covering topics on academic preparation for veterinary school, choosing the perfect veterinary school for you, veterinary school interviews, gap year and rejection, how to gain veterinary experience, and veterinary school abroad. Make sure to attend these Admissions Meet Ups to get the best advice from the people behind the admissions committees of vet schools.
